Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

My Fundraiser/challenge in support of Help For Heroes as well as the BFBS Big Slaute and Walking for the Wounded is called a Mile a Hero because that is literally what I am doing. May 2013 I will be walking a mile for every servicemen/woman that has been killed in afghanistan as it stands at the minute that is now 433 miles, that may change but if it does they will too be added to my walk.

As well as walking I will also be trying to do 433 fundraising events starting from now, which I'm hoping I can complete by the end of the walk making my Mile a Hero walk the last and final event.

I have recently started training which is needed in order to do something like this. Nuffield Health club in Nottingham have generously agreed to sponsor me and this wouldn't be at all possible without them. They're giving me the help and support I need and have provided me with a personal trainer as well who is getting me into shape and preparing me for the big walk.

Anyone who knows me will know I hate walking with a passion and that I am also the most unhealthiest, unfittest person who also smokes! So this will be a big challenge for me and at times very hard but I have got a good support unit around me from family and friends to everyone at the Nuffield Health Club but also my trainer Charley as he will see me at my worst but will always be motivating me to go that extra mile, and hopefully support from each and everyone of you reading this today by kindly donating as you'll see my fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us raise as much as we can for the 3 amazing charities I'm doing this for.

The walk will start from Gordan Barracks in Aberdeen and finish at the end of the Skegness Pier, along the way I will be stopping off at certain places where I'm hoping to complete more events. I will be blogging nearly every day leading up to the walk and during but will also be updating facebook and tweeter daily with updates and more.

You can follow me on Tweeter at @michelleseager or on facebook by adding me Michelle Seager.

Thank you for taking the time and reading this and a big thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating also.
