Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

I suffered with bad periods from the age of 14 until I was diagnosed in my late twenties.  I hadn't realised I had a high pain thresh-hold and my pains weren't normal.    I would be on painkillers for 3 weeks of the month.  Moody with my hormones all over the place.   It ended up I couldn't have children naturally.

After 3 operations and 7 years, my symptoms subsided and I was free of the pain.  Have been on HRT for 20 years.

I hear from 2 #YPOM running buddies that it still takes years to get a diagnosis.  How can this be?.  Not enough GP's are aware of the symptoms.

So I am raising money for the charity and awareness of the debilitating condition.

Over 1.5 million in the UK have endometriosis and the impact of the disease is for some devastating, yet diagnosis takes on average 8 years. With your donations we are turning this around, raising awareness, providing support and information, supporting research, and campaigning for change.
