Story

My name is Kara-Mai, i am 12 years old, I have Downs Syndrome  & Autism, I also have hyper mobility and have had a full new metal hip. It’s took me a while to build up my strength with my walking and I’m now pushing to run 5k for the mini great north run in September. I will be out running every night. I’m raising awareness for the Solan family. Phil Solan is a very good family friend and he is always there to donate to different charities we raise money and awareness for so this time I want to raise as many penny’s for a charity close to his family’s heart ❤️

Phils mam, Barbara, has been battling Huntington's Disease for over 15yrs. She is severely affected by the condition. The disease has been described as motor neurons, parkinsons and alzheimers all rolled into one and even more cruelly those with the condition have a 50% chance of passing it onto their children meaning there is often no end to the suffering for a family with HD.

Huntington's Disease Association help fund vital research into a cure and to help them continue to support families like the solans who are living with and caring for those who are already symptomatic and those who are at risk.

So please donate to my page every £1 helps ☺️
