About Me
I enjoy fitness and am part of Robert Sharpe's fitness family. My daughter works at Nursery Rhymes Day Nursery and when she told me about Isla I wanted to do the Cardiff half marathon to help raise as much money as possible to help her achieve her goal.
What's the problem we are trying to solve?
Isla is a 2 yr old girl who was born prematurely and had a bleed on the brain which developed into Cerebral palsy mainly affecting her legs but also slightly in her arms. Isla has the opportunity of having an operation in America called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy which will give her greater movement and the possibility of walking. I would like to help the family in any way possible to achieve their target and enable Isla to have this life changing operation by running the Cardiff half marathon on Sunday 4th October 2015 at 9AM.
Why do we care about this?
Isla is a special little girl who is always happy and a joy to be around, to see Isla be able to have this operation that will change her life is something that means a lot to me.
How will the money be spent?
Isla needs to achieve £60,000 to enable her to have the operation, I hope whatever I can raise will help boost what they have already achieved and get them on there way to their goal.
When will supporters see the difference?
When Isla achieves her goal of £60,000 she will have the operation and she can start a new journey in her life.
