I’m going to share my story with you and the reason that this charity is so close to my heart. On Wednesday 7th July 2021, I was admitted to Hillingdon Hospital as I was 8 weeks pregnant and suffering with sever abdominal pain and bleeding. On Thursday 8th July 2021 I was taken for a scan where they found that my pregnancy was ectopic, my left Fallopian tube had ruptured and I was bleeding internally. This became a life threatening situation, Dan was called and told to come to the hospital as due to COVID-19 I had to go through all of this alone. Then everything happened so fast I was told I had to have surgery as the situation was serious and it had to be done quickly! 2.5 hours later and I was being put to sleep! I woke up at 8pm that evening to find my baby had been removed and I had lost my left tube. I was heartbroken 💔 I was discharged from hospital the following day, with so many unanswered questions this is where The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust came in! They have provided me with so much support during this awful time, that I really want to be able to do something to give a little back to them and to say Thank you!! My journey hasn’t finished and I’m still healing mentally but I know no matter what the EPT are always here for me and anyone going through an Ectopic Pregnancy!
