Fundraising for Cancer Fund for Children
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We have always wanted to do a Skydive and now is the perfect opportunity to put our madness to good use - raising money for a special cause, very close to our hearts.
A special girl to both of us was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2011 and has spent the last year fighting it - and winning it!. With her diagnosis, her two young children were also affected and it was thanks to NICFC and their Young Shoulders Programme that they have been able to support their mum and fight the cancer with her.
The Young Shoulders Programme has been designed to tackle issues such as separation anxiety, fears for the future, coping with school and family life and the stresses attached to difficult caring roles. The Programme aims to build confidence, boost resilience and develop coping strategies. It provides an excellent opportunity to make new friends in a similar situation, share experiences and have some fun.
Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children exists to achieve the best outcomes for all children, teenagers and young adults up to the age of 24, whose lives are devastated by cancer. They do this by raising funds locally to finance a range of high quality holistic support and therapeutic services focused on the assessed needs of children, young people and their families throughout Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children is a registered charity, which offers practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people up to and including the age of 24, who are living with cancer, and their families.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
