Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many of my friends and family know what a challenge last year was for me fighting my own battle with Breast Cancer. I believe I'm thru' the worst now and think its time for the next challenge - The London Marathon!! 'No' Chemo didn't addle my brain (although something must have) It’s my way of proving to myself that 'yes', I am still in one piece and everything is normal again - phew! I know it will be an unforgettable, exciting and emotional experience for me and everyone coming along on the day (some for the weekend).Hey? Why don’t you come along too we can all have a party after?? The support I received from my friends and family throughout my illness was limitless and I am eternally grateful. Support is such an important part of the journey through living with cancer so I have decided to run for Breast Cancer Care a national charity focusing on living with and beyond breast cancer. Breast Cancer Care is for anyone affected by breast cancer. They bring people together, provide information and support, and campaign for improved standards of care. They use their understanding of people’s experience of breast cancer and their own clinical expertise in everything they do. They were such a support to me as so much of the information you get from other sources is confusing and conflicting and at times very scary. I still need their support today as there are many side affects and physical and emotional reactions to having Cancer that I am still finding out about.
My main focus is to have a brilliant time, finish the distance, enjoy every single minute, raise some cash for charity and still love to run at the end of it.
I am asking all of you reading this to dig deep into your pockets and donate anything you can spare (no old toffees or conkers please) to help me give something back the only way I can by supporting my marathon run for Breast Cancer Care.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much for your support
Yours - Michelle xx
