I was four when my mother died of breast cancer, and I have spent the following 40 years without her. She was not there at my confirmation, wedding and she never saw my two children. At first l believed you can't miss something you can't remember, but as I grow older I remember the last days she spent with us running up to Christmas.

I want to help beat cancer, and by doing my bit I want to raise the funds Cancer Research needs to continue fighting. Cancer affects both the old and the young, from all walks of life.
