Story

Hi there,

Just a quick update to say that I did it!!! Rachel and I walked the 13.1 miles in 4 hours and 5 minutes including 25 minutes for coffee and toilet breaks, so it actually took us about 3 hours and 40 minutes. We walked at a steady pace right up until the last mile when we started to flag and to be honest that was the worse part of the whole walk as we were both tired and aching but it was worth it to raise cash for St Catherines Hospice!

Thank you to all those who have sponsored me, as I have said below it is such a worthy cause and I think all those who live in Preston and the surrounding area will have been supported by the hospice or know someone who has! So I put my hands together to thank you for supporting both Rachel and myself.

Love

Hey there,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over the past few years I have taken part in the Race for Life raising money for Cancer Research. This year I wanted to do something different and decided to raise money for a local charity. I chose the moonlight walk which is event organised by St Catherines Hospice.

The hospice offers care to patients suffering from diseases that have reached the stage where they are treatable but not curable. They also offer support to patients and relatives during the patient's illness and in bereavement.

Working in Occupational Therapy both in the community and in a hospital, I have heard so much good about the support and care that the hospice gives. Also on a personal level I know people who have had relatives and friends who have been helped by them too.

So on Saturday 4th June from midnight my sister Rachel and I will be taking part in the annual moonlight walk in Preston, which is just over 13 miles long. I just hope that we can get enough training in before then.

I hope that you will support both myself and the hospice by donating, it doesn't matter if it is a small amount because every pound helps.

Cheers me dears,
