Im running the race for life on Sunday june 23 in memory of my mum who lost her life to breast cancer at the age of 38 after a 6 year battle with the disease.

At 21 i had a genetic testing done and found i carried  the faulty inherited BRCA2 gene, at 24 i started MRI scans every 6 months.

Then finally after long talks with consultants, family and friends at 26 on 19th November 2012 i had a preventative double masectomy with recontruction and saline injections in the months after, though it was tough at the begining the relief and how i feel now is amazing.
