Story
The day of the Fun Run/Walk... (let's face it - it's going to be more of a walk than a run...) is my lovely Grandpa's birthday. When he was still with us, he was the sort of man who'd help anyone.
To celebrate my Grandpa's birthday, my mum Myra, my 8 year old son Ziggy, and I, have decided to take on the Santa Fun Run (WALK) to support The Y, who are an organisation full of folks who help people - particularly young people, supporting them as they rebuild their lives.
The Y support young people by not only putting a roof over their head, but by providing much-needed help with mental health issues, substance misuse, learning disabilities, managing money... and many other things which may seem the norm to many of us - like providing a listening ear.
The Y is also 135 years old this year and so we are making this our Challenge 135 event! Each of us is hoping to raise £135... so our combined target is £405!
We will be stomping through the streets of Loughborough, dressed as Santa... festive beard 'n' all, to help support the wonderful work this charity does.
Please help us to support The Y by sponsoring our little challenge. Any amount helps. And Ziggy is soooooo excited to watch us reach our goal.
