Story
More miles for Mason - We are running the Great North Run this year in memory of Mason Wright to raise money for the Great North Air ambulance.
Mason was tragically taken far too soon just over 2 years ago, which devastated his family & friends.
The Great North Air ambulance attended and tried everything to save him.
Amazingly, his Mam and Dad Nicola & Steven Wright have now raised over £10,000 for this fantastic charity in Mason’s memory through different fundraising events.
As we couldn’t make the miles for Mason walk last month, we are doing 13.1 miles to help this fantastic cause.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident, whether on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to more than 1,600 call-outs last year via their helicopter and rapid response vehicles, performing treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
