I am taking part in the Colour Me Rad run on 8th June in memory of a lovely friend, Emma, who sadly passed away due to SEPSIS. To read Emma's story please visit: http://www.justgiving.com/Emma-Straker
Like most people, I hadn't heard of Sepsis until Emma tragically lost her life to Sepsis last year. It is important that we help raise awareness of Sepsis as it accounts for 37,000 deaths annually in the UK, which is more than breast cancer, bowel cancer and prostate cancer combined. Symptoms initially appear as flu-like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition in a number of hours.
To find out more about Sepsis, please visit their website: http://sepsistrust.org/ or check out some of their amazing work on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TheUkSepsisTrust
Emma's friends and family have already done a fantastic job helping raise money for the UK Sepsis Trust with over £4000 raised so far. This amazing effort shows you how important this cause is to everyone as Emma holds a special place in our hearts. The money raised helps the charity spread the awareness of Sepsis.
I would be very grateful if you could please donate towards this worthwhile cause, no matter how big or small, every donation makes a big difference. It could help save a life.
