Story
The Skydive you will see is named 'Team Matilda Mae Skydive 2014'
This is because my amazing friend Jennie tragically lost her daughter, Matilda Mae to SIDS last year.
You can read Matilda's story here
Jennie has shown such incredible strength through the most horrendous and what continue to be painful of months. She has also, very selflessly made a vow to make Matilda's life matter. To make a difference, so that no one else has to go through the pain that her Family have, in losing their precious baby, Matilda Mae.
So I am going to help Jennie do just that AGAIN in 2014!
Team Matilda Mae are back with new members and some veterans! We jumped last year and raised over £6000 and we'd love to add as much as we can to help Tilda's legacy grow.
We are a group of fellow Mummy bloggers/friends of Jennie and we're doing the skydive in order to raise much needed funds for 'The Lullaby Trust' (Formally FSID).
The Lullaby Trust provide specialist support for families bereaved through sudden infant death; support research and promote expert advice on safer baby sleep.
It is a Charity close to my heart. I simply cannot imagine what the Parents and Families bereaved through SIDS go through.
I hope that you can support me so we can raise as much as possible in order to help the Lullaby Trust half the amount of all Sudden Infant Deaths by 2015 through making further research and developing expert advice.
However much you can donate I will be so grateful.
Here's some interesting figures for you;
- £5 could pay for an information pack to raise awareness of our safe sleep messages among young parents.
- £14 could provide one hour of bereavement support from our trained telephone advisors.
- £110 could train A&E staff in how best to support families when a baby dies suddenly and unexpectedly
Thank you for reading and again for your sponsorship!
