Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The reason why we are doing the Marsden March: Tom Beckwith was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in June '15, which then spread to his liver and brain. On 7 October '15, the day he sadly passed away, Tom's daughter received an email from the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity asking for volunteers to take part in The Marsden March on 13 March '16. Tom received lots of care and support from The Royal Marsden Hospital and had the up most respect and praise for them. So when the email came on the day it did, Michelle was inspired to give something back to the hospital that helped her dad so much. Michelle's husband agreed to do the walk with her and then her cousins quickly jumped on board too. Tom's Crystal Crew are: Michelle Compton (Tom's Daughter), Nick Compton (Tom's Son in law), Di Smith (Tom's Niece), Julie Chapman (Tom's Niece) Doug Chapman (Tom's Nephew), Fiona Nott (Tom's Niece) and Jade Mead (Tom's Niece).
Following Tom's funeral, donations in his memory were kindly made to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to start our fundraising off. But we would love to raise as much money as we can for this great cause so if you can make a donation, however big or small, we would really appreciate it.
Where will your donations go to: 100% of the donations will go direct to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in memory of Tom. This is a wonderful cause because they do so much research into cancer, as well as looking after the people that are affected by the disease.
