No-one will ever be prepared for the loss of a beloved child; taken far too soon and without warning. The devastation is incalculable and the world crashes in around you.  We lost our beautiful, crazy and kind Gwenllian in September 2022. She was 16 years old and ready to begin her A Level studies of music and English at Gower College. Gwenllian was surrounded by her 'besties' on the night it all happened. She was so happy and living life to the full as she always did. She was such a pure soul who taught us all so much. 

It's at times like these that your family and friends are very much needed but they need support too. This is where 2Wish come in. I have known Rhian for years and have supported her charity through local events. I never dreamed that one day, I would be the recipient of their guidance. It was at this time that I understood how crucial this network of trained people are. Their presence was felt as soon as we entered the hospital, sitting in a much needed quiet room provided by the charity. This was essential for the days to come and was only the beginning. As we said our goodbyes to our incredible girl,  the 2Wish Memory box was created with Rhiannon (Gwenllian's Sister). She will cherish this forever. Once we were back home, the 2wish team got to work with us all: Gwenllian's friends, family and school. Some of us continue to benefit from many different types of therapy now. I am so grateful to all of them!

Unfortunately, new members of our 2Wish family group are added each week and the sessions they provide must be incredible costly all across Wales. This is why I am raising money to say; 'Thank you' and to focus on doing this for my Gwenllian and her beautiful and brave sister, Rhiannon. 

2wish Great Welsh Weekend (now cancelled) but I will be running the half marathon
