Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 24th October I'm taking part in the Great South Run to raise money for Wessex Heartbeat.

I have chose to raise money for this wonderful charity that has and will continue to play a big part of my families lives!

As most of you will know my son Finley was born with a congenital heart condition called Transposition of Great Arteries and at 6 days old, had major heart surgery to correct the condition , another op at 5 months and still has to have atleast one more op!

All money raised for Wessex heartbeat goes towards funding the following;

*Wessex Heartbeat House-This is a 2 minute walk from the hospital and family members can stay here for free for the duratuin of the patients stay on the ward.  Owen stayed here when Finley was in hopspital and its a great help and redueces a lot of stress at a difficult time!

*Ocean Ward-This is amanzing ward with very dedicated staff, with a bedroom where mum's can stay, showers, kitchen all the facilities needed so a mum never has to be far from her child as this scary time! Yet again all free!!

*PICU Ambulance and Baby Pod-This is Southampton's children's intensive care unit's ambulance, it goes to pick up any emergency cases that either need to go to intensive care or straight to the ward in the baby pod which is a special type of incubator.  This ambulance was vital to Finley as they came to poole as emergency to bring him a life saving drug that he needed and then he was taken back to Southampton in the baby pod.

*Heartbeat Education Centre- Without this centre they would not of developed the knowledge to perform all the life saving treatment they do everyday and they will continue to discover new ways to help and support all patients with any type of heart condition!

Please donate as much as you can to this wonderful cause as without all of the above I may not have my gorgeous little boy who is doing so well now!  All your money will go towards Finley's future care and help other familes who may go through what we did!
