Firstly thanks for visiting my page!!!

I am running the Great North Run in September - not because I am great (sadly) but because Meningitis UK could do with the cash!

Meningitis is one of those rubbish diseases that can catch anyone off guard and if not treated immediately can result in death in just a matter of hours. Its often mistaken as a cold in the first instance and the results of the disease going undetected can cause devastation to families.

I am running in memory of my Auntie Valerie who passed away 20 years ago this year from Meningitis. 

Please have a quick search round your desk, junk drawer or wife / husbands wallet, shake down the dust and give a little bit of what you can afford to a great cause - 1 less coffee a day might just be good for you!

Your sponsorship will go directly to the charity so please, please, please don't forget to tick the 'Gift Aid' box so the government can do their bit too!

Even if you don't fancy sponsoring me please at least read the symptons........

Classic Symptons:

Headache

Stiff neck

Dislike of bright light

Difficulty supporting own weight

Fever

Vomitting & diarrhoea

Confusion & drowsiness
