Many of you will know that my mum sadly passed away last year from bowel cancer. Rebecca and I are doing the Race for Life this year for her and also for a dear friend of ours, Joannne, who passed away at the beginning of this year in a short space of time after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. 

They were two of the loveliest people I was lucky enough to know. They never complained nor had a bad word to say about anyone. I am sure they are now angels looking down and watching over us but their loss causes great heart ache and pain to many of us who were lucky enough to have cared for them. 

I have a written sponsorship form for the Race for Life which will go to Cancer UK but I also wanted to donate directly to a bowel cancer charity. Anything you can contribute - pennies and pounds - would be really welcomed and will help support families and friends who are going through what we have been through and hopefully help stop the end result too.
