On Saturday 11th September I will be taking part in the National Autistic Society's  60 mile Victory Ride from Woking to Portsmouth. www.autism.org.uk/victory

It is many years since I cycled such a distance. Time has taken its toll, but I am back on a bike and feeling confident that I will complete the course. Just to add a little more pressure I hope to complete it in a time close to 4 hours.

I am cycling in a group with at least 5 others some of whom have children affected by autism. I know that they have benefited from and value the support provided by the National Autistic Society and this should help me to keep going in the latter stages of the ride when the legs may be getting a little tight.

The picture is of my son Dan who is keen to literally step in to my shoes and get on his bike. However due to his tender years he will have to sit this ride out.
