To support my best friend who has early onset Alhzheimers I wanted to do something special in 2010 to raise as much money as possible.

I have commited to complete 10 events in 2010 ( thanks Matt for the idea, not sure I will be thanking you by the end of the year though!). I aim to raise a minimum of £2000 if everyone digs deep  £5,000 could be possible, please just donate what you can for the Alzheimers Society. The 10 events i have entered are: 

1) Marbella/Puerto Banus 10km  30th March , completed not in my best time in 52m 40 secs with temp of 24c i struggled towards the end not having had much warm weather to train in this year !....1/2 marathon on Sunday....and just bought my road bike so training starts the week after for the bike ride....having seen the saddle not looking forward to the training never mind 2 full days on it!

2) Chris Hoys Half Marathon on the 18th of April, a personal best at 1hr 53 min and 18 sec! What a day cold and wet running from Edinburgh's Meadowbank stadium to Musselborough race course along the sea front ( although due to the rain you couldn't see much)....really enjoyed it especially at the end! 2 down bring it on!

3) Great Edinburgh Run,10km on the 2nd of May great day personal best 49 mins 50 secs.

4) 9 Day Peru trek to Macchu Picchu, 8th May to 17th May ( The cost of this trip and any other entry fees will be funded personally) due to some family illness, i had to cancel this trip....however i completed the acorn 100km bike ride instead in 3 hours 43 mins.

5) Coast to Coast 132 mile Bike ride,  June 9th and 10th and maybe 11th if the climbs get me (I will also make a donation to Tickled Pink for this Event) What a fantastic 2 days with 80 miles completed on day 1 and 52 miles day 2 to finish in Sunderland, plenty of blisters to show for it but i will never forgot the challenge and the rest of the team, well done to Matt Wood for organising everything at the last look we have raised well over £1,000 for Tickled Pink.

6) Run for all, Leeds 10km July 4th, Hot day and after too much cycling and not enough running my time was 53 minutes, must get back under 50 minutes by York 

7) 10 mile challenge Harrogate on 18th July

8) Run for all York 10km, Sunday 1st August  

9) Sheffield Great Yorkshire 10km on the 5th of September

10) The Great North Run, half Marathon on 19th of September
