Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Michael Kowalski JustGiving page.
My name is Michael Kowalski and I live in Paignton, Devon and I've taken up the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro which I hope will be a trip of a lifetime and will raise much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in and climbing it is a challenge to say the least. It is one of the mountains almost every trekker and mountaineer in the world wants to conquer. I'd like to consider myself as a fit person and I'm currently following a vigorous training program so I'll hopefully be in tip top condition when the time arrives.
But the real challenge I face is trying to reach my target of £3700 which is a bit scary. I hope to organise a few events, and ask family and friends for donations in order to help me reach my target, but any donation would be greatly appreciated no matter how small!!!
Macmillan relies on 99% donations in order to offer people not only medical help, but practical, emotional and financial support. Cancer unfortunately affects us all. 1 in 3 of us will get cancer at some point in our lives, which is a pretty scary statistic. What Macmillan does is try to make people's experience of it that little bit easier. Not just for the people who are affected but for their families and carers as well.
That is why I need everyone's help to reach my target, as without your support Macmillan couldn't provide any of their wonderful services for people living with cancer. Big or small, your donation will help make a difference.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate to help me reach my £3700 target!!!
(Look out for photo updates on my training and see how i'm getting on with reaching my target)
