Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·
This Autumn, I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon and raising funds for a vital cause, MS Society. My sister Emma was diagnosed Relapse Remitting MS in 2022 after going through a tough 6 month relapse during pregnancy.
Thank you in advance for supporting my huge challenge and donating whatever you can, it will make a massive difference.
A message from Emma,
"For me being diagnosed was a double edged sword - how was I going to manage this disease whilst raising a child? But now at least I have the answers and treatment I need. I had a suspicion I had MS several years ago whilst experiencing a strange symptom called lhermittes sign which occurs mainly in MS. I'm glad to have the answers now because lhermittes is quite disturbing to experience.
Living with MS has its daily challenges. I go to bed at 8pm in order to get the rest I need. My fatigue recently caused me to fall down the stairs and sprain my ankles, something unexpected, part and parcel of the disease I guess. The psychological impact of MS can be even more of a struggle than the physical sometimes. The question of when will this disease disable me goes on in the back on my mind every second of the day. Have I lived each day to it's fullest knowing the impact of it will creep up on me one day? My daughter drives me on to keep going and I live in the hope that the treatment I am on is working for me. Overall I'd like to think I'm still the smiley positive Emma everyone knows and loves despite being a more fatigued and needy version of me.
If you can, please donate to my incredible brother who continues to love and support me everyday no matter how tough it gets and let's try and find a cure for MS as soon as possible."
Thank you very much for all your support!
