Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

This year the Portland Gate site team thought it would be a good idea to get fit together and train for the Leeds Half Marathon. Being marathon novices, we did not realise what we were getting ourselves into and that 13.25 miles is actually quite a long way! The run takes place on Sunday 7th September. We have drawn up a training programme and have been putting in the hours pounding the streets of Leeds. We have been working really hard and have overcome numerous injuries between us to become the supreme athletes we are today! :o)

We have chosen to run for St. Gemma's Charity because we feel that the brilliant work they do makes them a very worthy cause. We really appreciate you taking the time to read this. Please dig deep and give as much as you can - remember, we are running 53 miles between us! Many thanks.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St. Gemma's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
