Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

So I'm sure you're wondering why I'm raising money for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO). I've been lucky enough to be selected by VSO for an International Citizen Service (ICS) placement in Nepal. 

ICS and in particular VSO work in countries all over the developing world on a variety of different projects in some of the poorest communities on the planet. In Nepal, they help communities improve education as well as support health and business initiatives.  They do this by sending volunteers such as myself to work on projects with local volunteers.

The first part of my journey is the challenge to raise a whopping £800 for VSO. This money I'm raising does not contribute to the cost of my trip instead all money raised goes directly to VSO and ensures that they can continue to send youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting and impactful difference for disadvantaged communities. 

I plan to undertake a variety of personal challenges and other fundraising ideas to reach my target which you can keep track of on this page as well as keep up with my shenanigans on Facebook!  

Any contribution from you will make all the difference to the lives of people in developing countries.
