Story
I am running the 50th New York City Marathon in
November to raise funds for our Palliative Care Team at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). The Quality in Life Team (QUILT) is the name of our team of palliative care experts who are trained to help families navigate
medical decisions and offer support as they face the uncertainty of life-threatening and fatal illnesses, including COVID-19. During the COVID surge in 2020, the QUILT team helped take care of over 150 adults who
were admitted to the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.

Dr. Sarah Norris, the Director of QUILT at CHAM is a
marathon runner. Although I am not a marathon runner, I am delighted to train and run the NYC marathon with her to help support this wonderful team.
