Story
So, in the face of medical tribulations, several hills and the homicidal tendencies of Battersea drivers, I somehow managed to propel myself between Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle yesterday. As I passed Hampton Court, it did occur to me that it would suffice as a 'palace', and I was tempted to call a halt there, but the thought of all my sponsors kept me going. Not so much the generous donations, but more the abuse I'd have rightly earned.
My injured toe stood up well (no pun intended), though every pot-hole and bump jarred somewhat. As you might expect of a highly-honed athlete, my legs are a tad stiff today and I'm walking as if I'd just got off a horse, but otherwise all seems to be in working order.
Thank you again for your support - I raised £1485 (10th in the top fundraiser list for the whole event!). This was all down to you, and I appreciate it.
The Ultra-challenge 90 mile next year? No chance.
