We're the Selfish Selfish spirits company, an ethically conscious spirit brand based in Skipton, Yorkshire, taking on the challenge of the Yorkshire 3 peaks on the 5th August to raise money for the charity Mind! We believe that it's important for businesses to give back whenever they can. They're in a position where they can do some good for people, the community and the environment. So, we decided to do just that. By supporting us, whether through donations or purchasing our products, you'll be helping us to make the world just a little bit better. So it's okay to feel a little bit selfish and top up that drink, because you know it's for a good cause! We like to take part in charity challenges about once a year to do something a little extra. This year, we've decided to take on the Yorkshire 3 peaks! But this isn't just a simple walk; not only will it be a considerable challenge to climb all three in one day, but to make it a little more 'us' we'll also be enjoying a cocktail made from our Dark Spiced Rum on the top of each peak! Just something to keep us going. Having completed challenges in the past for Dementia Forwards and Women's Centre, this year we decided to turn our focus to the challenges of mental health, and will be raising money for Mind. Almost everyone has suffered from mental health challenges in their lives, many without even realising. Mind is determined to fight mental health, raising awareness by making mental health an everyday priority and providing information and support to anyone that needs it. We feel like this is a very worthy cause to be raising funds for.
