Story
On March 19th 2018 my daughter Emily was hit by a car whilst crossing the road on the way home from school. She sustained life threatening head injuries from the impact and was in an induced coma for the first 72 hours. She was air ambulanced to Bristol Children’s Hospital and from the moment she arrived there they were fantastic, kind, caring and as reassuring as they could be under the circumstances.
Emily spent 5 weeks in hospital, spending time in 3 different wards. I must give a special mention to the staff in the Paediatric intensive care unit who were highly professional and lovely people in equal measure.
The aftercare Emily has received has been fantastic and she is well on her way to complete recovery.
For my part since this occurred I have just wanted to give something back. I ran for The Grand Appeal and found it to be a fantastically rewarding experience last yearI also give blood.. Really though I just want to show my appreciation to the wonderful people at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Please help me to do this by hitting my £500 goal. Every donation helps no matter how small.
