Story
My wife Victoria was diagnosed with this horrendous disease in January 2020. As a family we have looked after her 24/7 and have seen the gradual decline in her health as MND takes over her body and mind. She is the bravest person I know - alongside my 2 children; Georgia & Ben, who's lives have been hugely affected by this illness.
I don't have time to train for a marathon, or days away doing the Three Peaks, as I am primary carer for Vicki. Trying to help her through each day: feeding her, dressing her and seeing to her other personal needs is tough, whilst also juggling the day job. My efforts are nothing in comparison to hers when just taking a breathe is almost impossible. Knowing the effect this disease has on individuals and their families I want to do my bit for the wider cause.
So, this January, I have set myself the challenge of walking 15,000 steps, every day, to raise money for people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. Anything you can donate to help me reach my target and help make a difference would be hugely appreciated.
