Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Right! it appears that I'm finally doing it- Im running the London Marathon in April this year! After years of running for the pure enjoyment of it I thought it was time to take on a more meaningful challenge- so I decided to run on behalf of Marie Curie, in memory of my mum, who died of cancer far too early. Through my work in Almac I am also critically aware of the significance of this disease and the much needed support that patients require.

Anyway- the grim reality is that I've to run an awful lot of miles (26.21875  they tell me!) and raise a shedload of cash. Im aiming for £2000 and am doing this by a range of means- sponsored dinner parties, wine tastings and downright brazen asking for your cash!

So- this is where it's over to you. I would be delighted if you would be prepared to donate whatever you can- large or small if you would like to assist me in my efforts. And you can do it really easily - donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you can donate, then please fire ahead today and dig deep! If you cant then your moral support is appreciated as I take this on- sadly I'm in the veteran category now so I'm not under any illusion that this'll be a breeze!!

Many many thanks

Michael
