Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The reason I decided to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Charity was due to me and my family experiencing the consequences of a close member, suffering with multiple brain tumours from birth.
My brother, from when he was born, has had to undergo numerous surgical procedures and radio therapy treatments spanning most of his childhood. Whilst this was successful (we are both in our late 20’s now) it might not have been without the research, funding and support provided by the likes of the Brain Tumour foundation.
It was the surgeon at Booth Hall Hospital, Miss Carys Bannister who saved my brother and who me and my family owe the greatest of debt.
Sadly she passed away in recent years and will be missed immeasurably. Please take a minute to read a brief overview of this wonderful women’s life.

Both, me and my brother will always hold very fond memories of her from a childhood that could have been very different and very unhappy.
The reason I chose to shave my head is due to various friends and family mockingly suggesting I "get a haircut" because I look like a girl/hippy/hobo etc. so I thought I would make them pay for the privilege!
I will also be donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust which is a charitable organisation that creates wigs for children that have suffered hair loss through cancer treatment and other illness. You can read about them here:
