The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Hi there, for the 2.6 challenge I am going to complete  TWENTY-SIX activities of TWENTY-SIX things. Will definitely include running, skipping, keepie-ups, and who knows what. Let me know any suggestions and I will include the finalised list here before Sunday, the day the event takes place around the UK.

Thousands of fundraising events across the UK have been cancelled or postponed because of Covid-19, including Just a Drop’s yearly campaign, Steps to Water, and the London Marathon next Sunday. 

To mark what would have been the London Marathon’s 40th anniversary, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation events in the UK have come together and created the 2.6 Challenge.

4 in 10 people globally live without access to basic hand washing facilities and these are the ones who will suffer the most at the hands of CoronavirusJust a Drop’s mission, to deliver accessible, clean, safe water where it is needed most, has never been more relevant or more important.

  1. Running 26km
  2. Do a handstand against a wall and read Shakespeare’s Sonnet 26

  3. Reconstruct the Taj Mahal using 26 biscuits

  4. Gargle the lyrics to a favourite song for 2.6 minutes (2 min 36 sec)

  5. Pluck 26 chest hairs

  6. A complex drawing of Mike Greig playing a guitar using 26 lines 

  7. Match 26 cards

  8. Listen to the last 26 number ones live-streaming it on Twitch

  9. Read 26 haikus 

  10. Write a ‘hit’ song that is 2.6 minutes long (2 min 36 seconds)

  11. Draw a rainbow using 26 colours

  12. Listen to Gangnam Style 26 times in a row 

  13. Eat 26 crackers

  14. Write a 260-word contrarian Devil’s Advocate opinion article

  15. 26 Keepie-Ups*

  16. 26 skips in a row*

  17. Juggle something for 26 seconds

  18. Read 26 pages of Jurassic Park

  19. 26 push ups

  20. 26 squats

  21. 26 lunges

  22. 26 tricep dips

  23. 26 crunches

  24. 26 step ups

  25. Plank for 26 seconds

  26. £26 poker for 26 minutes (unless go bust)
