Following diagnosis of Bowel Cancer last August I underwent major surgery in October. I was diagnosed through the Bowel Screening programme and as a result was fortunate enough to have caught the cancer at a very early stage.

Whilst the surgery was successful I was advised to complete a course of Chemotherapy over a period of 3 months.

I attended the MacMillan Support Centre every two weeks for 3 months at Calderdale Hospital in Halifax to receive my treatment.

The attention and care I received was first class and found the nurses were very professional and hard working whilst making me feel comfortable during what was a very trying period.

As such I would like to support this very worthy cause by raising as many funds as I can to enable this charity to carry on this valuable work.
