Story
A nice steady 10 mile run this morning. Now time to unwind prior to the big one next sunday!!
Virgin Money London Marathon April 13th 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2010, I lost my beloved Mum to breast cancer. She was only 65 years old. During Mum's final days, she stayed at St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds. The care and support that was provided by the staff at the Hospice ensured my Mum's last days were as comfortable and pain free as possible.
For those people who were lucky enough to know my beloved Mum, you know she left a lasting impression. Her love of life and genuine interest in other people made her a great person to know and love.
On the 13th of April 2014, I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my Mum and to raise as much money as possible for St Nicholas Hospice. Any donation you give, be it large or small will be greatly receieved.
I was forced to pull out of the marathon last year as just a few weeks prior to the big day, I fractured my foot. I was devastated not to be able to run, but this year I will be getting round all 26.2 miles, even if I have to go round on crutches!
Training is progressing well, in between nappy changes with Edith. I have completed a 21 mile run in training and am now winding down and resting up before the big day.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement.
Mike
