We are raising money in loving memory of our adored husband and father who sadly lost his battle to blood cancer on 27th July 2017. 

Since 2008 Michael has been under the care of the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and in the last 12 months he has received intensive treatment. During this time he was supported and looked after by the exceptional staff who went to extraordinary lengths to try to cure him of this horrendous disease. 

We are raising these funds for Bright Red who are a local blood cancer charity based at the Freeman Hospital who help to improve the lives and treatment of people in the North. Through care, research and education they strive to beat illnesses such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. 

During Michael's life, he gave up so much of his time to charitable causes in Darlington and the surrounding area, not for personal glory but because it was the right thing to do. On many occasions, we've witnessed his competitive nature and desire to be the best, this was no different when it came to fundraising. Therefore, in Michael's spirit we ask for your help to continue this and raise the most we can.
