Story
When Michael Patrick was born at 24 weeks', we were in a very fragile situation. As we were just over halfway through pregnancy we didn't have any necessary supplies or training for what would come. Thankfully, Queen Charlotte & Chelsea Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital have a phenomenal charity called The Winnicott Foundation. This charity's focus is to support families going through the unimaginable. They were with us every step of the way; From the first day where they gave us breast pumping supplies and cooler bags to transport milk to the NICU, up to to the final days where they provided free accommodation only steps away from our fighting son. Not only do they provide family support but also life-saving equipment (incubators, ventilators etc.) when the NHS cannot. Simply put, their work saves babies lives.
We will always be in awe of their work and grateful.
Now that we are home with our healthy son, we would like support the incredible work of this charity so it may continue for families who find themselves navigating one of life's most unexpected(ly beautiful) journey's. Thank you for considering giving.
With Gratitude,
Ashley, Patrick and Michael Patrick Ruddy xx
