Ironman is an intense event with a 2.4mile swim, 112 mile cycle, followed by a full 26.2 mile marathon, all in under 17 hours.  This will be my first one and I want to try to raise some money for the RNLI.

The RNLI receives NO government funding and relies entirely on voluntary contributions.  Last year lifeboats launched on operational service to 8313 incidents with lifeguards assisting in excess of 14,000 people.
