We care for local people to cope with cancer and other illnesses

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I'm 'lucky' enough to be representing my running club, Torrington AAC, at the London Marathon. I thought it would be a good chance to also raise money for a local charity at the same time to make it even more worthwhile.

The North Devon Hospice provides care for those with life threatening illnesses and their families free of charge. This is often done through Community Teams in patient's own homes. The costs for providing these services are considerable and they rely on donations to keep running. Most of us will have known someone who has received care from this excellent charity, hopefully we will never need them ourselves.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. You can either donate by card, or text HMIY54 and the amount you wish to donate (starting with a £ sign) to 70070. For example HMIY54 £5

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please take the opportunity to donate and keep a local charity that supports local people providing the same excellent care they have been for years.

Cheers
