Story
On Saturday 26th November 2022 I'll be joining this year's Red Run in Victoria Park, east London. I'm running 10 km to support PrEPster - a small grass-roots organisation at the forefront of educating and agitating for PrEP access in England and beyond.
PrEP is a medication that can prevent someone who doesn’t have HIV from getting it, if they’re exposed. PrEP had been a game changer: HIV rates have fallen by 80% in London.
Over the past year PrEPster has provided information to tens of thousands of people about PrEP with a huge focus on people who could benefit from PrEP but who currently aren’t accessing it. That includes gay and bi men, women, Black African communities, trans people, sex workers, people who don’t have English a first language and migrants.
PrEPster has also been at the frontline of the community response to monkeypox - work that has been largely been unfunded.
Will you help me to keep PrEPster on the go for another year? There's still a huge amount of work to do to get PrEP available for free for all who need it. Help me reach my target by donating any amount - small or large - I'll be hugely grateful.
* Because PrEPster is not a registered charity, we aren't able to register directly on Just Giving (PrEPster is a project of The Love Tank CIC). As with last year, all funds raised by PrEPster at Red Run will be passed over to PrEPster by Positive East.
