With The ANCHOR Centre opening its doors this year, fundraising for our ANCHORED Together appeal remains a key area of focus for the charity. With just over half a million still to raise, we'd love your help to make our goal possible.

Story

Hello, my name is Michael Karl-Lewis and I am playing Peter Pan in The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan at His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen this festive season.

On our press launch day, something occurred to me. I am playing the boy who never grows up and I have a carpet on my chest.

So this Christmas, Santa is gifting me some wax strips. I will be waxing my chest to raise money for a charity very close to my heart - Friends of Anchor.

Friends of Anchor were established in 1997 and have continued to support patients and their families throughout the North East of Scotland who are dealing with a cancer or haematology diagnosis.

My passion for this charity strives from my Mum’s involvement volunteering, having lost my beautiful Auntie Lynn to a rare form of blood cancer when she was only 39.

No matter the scale of donation, anything would be overwhelmingly appreciated. The money will go towards:

- [ ] Medical Equipment
- [ ] Patient Wellbeing
- [ ] Pioneering Cancer Research
- [ ] Clinical Excellence

Furthermore, let’s be hearing a loud ‘I do believe in Michael, I do, I do’ as I get this rug ripped off my chest.
