This challenge of 4 days cycling including a 163k day accross Tour de France mountain passes serves two purposes. Firstly, I want to raise money for a good cause and Air Ambulance is the Blackrock charity of choice for the year and saves many lifes on the London roads and in London in general. My trip is already paid and all donations go 100% to the good cause. Secondly, I am expecting my first son soon after the trip and as a slightly older dad I need to step up the training regime to be fit for the tough first weeks and not be be left behind by him in performance when he is 6... (aiming for 10!).
