Jessica and Richard Hill had a beautiful baby, Alice Poppy in March 2013. Unfortunately Alice became ill in November that year and was diagnosed with a rare mitochondrial disease. This turned their lives upside down as Alice was given only months to live. The care that Jess had to provide Alice in the following months was challenging and intensive. During this time the James Hopkins Trust provided nurses to support Jess with this care at home.  Alice passed away in September 2014. She and Jess have been an inspiration to all of us. And without the care of JHT I'm sure Jess's life must have been much tougher.

As a friend and vet, Jess has always been a great support to me and Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service in bringing Animal Rescue into the county. 

I'm riding in the steeplechase to look after my friend Mark, who hasn't ridden for over twenty years! Both of us hope to raise some money for a great cause.  I have been retired from racing since 2009 so this come back for one day is not to be missed. This is one lap of Chaddessley Corbett Point to Point course after racing on Saturday 18th April,  come along for a great day out 2pm first race.
