In Oct 23 I will be running the Cardiff Half marathon and proudly wearing a Ty Hafan running vest in support of this fantastic charity. As a teenager I was diagnosed with cancer, a fibrous sarcoma. Fortunately, after several operations and years of remission its just a distant memory. However, I will forever be grateful to the children's hospital for Wales Paediatric Oncology Unit, NHS, my friends and family. 

Whilst I was fortunate and never required Ty Hafan's support, I witnessed first hand the incredible efforts Ty Hafan and other charities, such as LATCH, went to supporting children, teenagers and their families. 

Donating to Ty Hafan and wearing their running vest at this years cardiff half marathon - my first ever running event and the first time I will have run more than 5km - feels like the least I can do to recognise and support their incredible work supporting children with life limiting illnesses.
