Well, together with the money I have collected by hand, now I'm up to £350. Many thanks to all!
Thanks for taking time to look at this page.
Most of you will know that I'm an author, and I thought that a good way of working off some of my laziness would be to go for a bike ride or two. And there are some friends of ours who want to join in as well. Sadly Mark Bazeley had the idea of generating money and forcing us to ride further, so we decided to go on the London to Brighton.
It's a few miles, but when you've ridden the hills around Dartmoor, it doesn't seem so bad. Unless it's raining. Still, the main thing is that this is a spot of enlightened self-interest. So many people get heart disease, it's surely likely that it'll affect me too. Which is why I thought I'd try to get a reasonable lump of money for the BHF, if at all possible. Last time I made over £1,500 and this time I'd like to equal that if possible. Hopefully I will do it!
So, to all who donate, thanks, folks. And to those who don't - I'll catch you next time!
Now for the JUST GIVING piece. Just to show that they're very decent chaps:
"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity."
There you go. Easy enough. Thanks for your help, and wish me luck. I may well need it!
So please dig deep and donate now.
