Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Those who know me, will be aware that I only started running just under 2 years ago, and since then I have undertaken 10K's and Half Marathons. Now is the perfect opportunity to challenge myself to run a distance, DOUBLE what I have run before, to support SeeAbility!

I am taking on the London Marathon to raise money for the charity SeeAbility, in April 2018. I don’t feel comfortable asking people for money, but as this such a huge challenge for me, it feels right to do it representing a charity that does so much positive work.

This is a UK registered charity, that supports people with sight loss and multiple disabilities, to live independent lives. They fulfil this by offering specialist support to enable them to develop the skills they need.

Please see below how your sponsorship can make a real difference.

£10 - Could go towards a talking microwave so someone with sight loss can prepare meals independently.

£25 - Could pay for a speech & language therapy session so someone with multiple disabilities can learn vital communication skills.

£85 - Could pay for a pay for a specialist sight test for a child with learning disabilities.

About the charity

SeeAbility provides ambitious social care for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss. We encourage them to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society - and they in turn challenge us all to think about what’s possible, and to rethink disability.
