Michael's Whoopsadaisy 7 day mountain bike challenge
Fundraising for Whoopsadaisy
Fundraising for Whoopsadaisy
Hello my name is Mike and I have decided to
do a 7 day mountain bike challenge to raise money to support a wonderful charity called Whoopsadaisy which is a Brighton-based charity providing free Conductive Education for local children with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders.
To do this I have given up a week of my summer holidays (well let’s face it I’m not going very far this year anyway!) from Monday 20th July to Sunday 26th July.
I will set out each day, from home, to cycle up and over the South Downs. My intention is to achieve the following cumulative
targets:-
I have been inspired by the innovative way
that Whoopsadaisy has managed to adapt and
respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. In doing so the team has been able to continue providing support to the many children and families who could not access their services through the center in Preston Park. As such Whoopsadaisy have developed online services that children and families can join in from the
safety of their own homes.
It is so difficult for a charity like Whoopsadaisy to keep going during these difficult times. That’s why I have decided to do something which, with your generous support, will help Whoopsadaisy to keep providing this much needed support.
I am also doing this in memory of my late mother, Helen, who died on 25th April this year having just manage to celebrate her 99th birthday.
I am therefore asking you to please donate whatever you can by visiting my just giving page as well as spreading the word though your
networks to encourage others to do the same.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your support
I highly recommend that you visit their website www.whoopsadaisy.org and watch two really inspiring films that capture what this service means through the eyes of the children and their parents.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
