We Hear You (WHY) is a fantastic local charity that works across Bath and North East Somerset, Somerset and Wiltshire providing emotional support to patients, families, friends and carers who have been touched by cancer or any other life threatening conditions.  This service is provided free to those in need and as such it needs the support of fundraising etc. to keep the levels of service and support high.

As such I have volunteered to fundraise and take on the London to Paris Cycle challenge.  Why this challenge?  Because it is purely that.  When I said 'Yes' I did not own a bike, let alone any of the other kit.  I had not really riden a bike since I hung up the paper-round and my Orange Apollo Mountain Bike (circa Halfords 1994) in the Mid nineties.  Here I am 20 years later and the temptation to take on this challenge for a worthwhile cause was to great to ignore.

I have always said I would undertake a charity challenge if it was 1. for a worthy cause and 2. it was a challenge that would take me suffer.  This suggestion by We Hear You ticked both boxes.  So, what more was a man to do, than say Yes.  Then think "oh sh!t - I don't own a bike".  So it began.

Hopefully you will be able to support me and in doing so support We Hear You continue to provide this service and support to the local community.
