Royal Parks Half Marathon 2016 · 9 October 2016 ·

We are MACS; supporting children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes. Every year in the UK, around 90 children are born with a MACS condition. We provide practical and emotional support for the whole family, to help children reach their full potential and enjoy life.

Story

I decided rather rashly last week to sign up to run the Royal Parks Half marathon in aid of MACS, a charity that supports children born with underdeveloped eyes or those without eyes. MACS have been hugely supportive of my godmother's son, Ben, who was born without eyes, and have had a real impact on his development and helped his family enormously over the years. Also anyone who has been with me to a concert, show or gig at a reduced price has my godmother to thank so please be generous! Any donations would be welcome and as my company operate a matched fundraising scheme anything you donate will hopefully be doubled. I've only got 4 weeks to train for my first half marathon... which can only end well!

If you want any more information about the work that MACS do please see the link below:

Thank you!
