Story
Hey guys,
Cancer has affected my life so much, as it seems to have everyone's. I know and have seen that the progress made in treatment in the last five years goes a long way to making cancer a bit less scary, and it is definitely something that can be talked about more openly now than ever before. There is still a long way to go though and Cancer Research UK are at the forefront of these efforts.
For me, giving up drinking for January is just the start. If I reach £200 I will apply to run/crawl the London marathon in my full goalkeeper kit in 2015 (these things take a while to train for). This weighs about 15 kilos and running to the edge of my D is tiring enough. I am fairly sure that noone has ever attempted this before, so, if you want to see it happen and see me raise a lot of money for charity then send a small donation this way.
Please, dig deep and support me, we all know how out of character not drinking for a month is for me.
Thanks in advance,
Michael
